Public Service Announcement

I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone (who bikes) that wet train tracks are slippery.

Really slippery.

Really, really, slippery.

As in, life threateningly slippery.

Even if you've crossed those tracks dozens of times before without incident.

Especially if those tracks cross the road at a sharp angle of around 45-60 degrees.

And yes, even if you ride a hybrid bike that has fatter tires.

Really.

Slippery.

...art

ps: and no, HeatherF, I did not fall. Not quite. But the bike was all over the (thankfully empty) road for about 2-3 seconds with my legs flailing about, and then I did need to pull over afterward for a few minutes and wait for my heart rate to return to normal, and for my adrenal gland to please stop producing adrenaline...

pps: Everyone, please remember to cross train tracks at a right angle, and if it's raining, maybe you should think about walking your bike across them.

I hate how you can read my mind! But I'm glad you're not hurt my friend!
